Photography, Vicki Lathom and Barry Miller

Residents of Annapolis, Md., and life-long cruisers of the Chesapeake Bay, Vicki Lathom and Barry Miller are now snowbirds on their trawler in Vero Beach.  Years of traveling down the ICW and out to the Bahamas have resulted in hundreds of waterway photos, some of which make up "Where There's Water," a recent exhibit at Artists Guild Gallery in Vero Beach, Fl.

Vicki began her photography as a complement to her freelance travel writing.  A retired public information officer, speechwriter and university professor, Vicki is drawn to simple photographic subjects with a feeling of solitude.

Vicki has had one-person shows at the Maryland Federation of Art gallery and the Ginger Cove Retirement Community, which now has 10 of her photos in a permanent collection.  Vicki was also juried into the annual St. John’s College’s Mitchell Art Gallery show.
Barry is a retired information technology professional who has become involved in fine art photography.  Barry likes to capture common objects in uncommon situations.  “I like to photograph something that you will only see one time before it’s gone forever.”
Barry has also been juried into the annual Mitchel Gallery exhibit.  His photo of a sailboat raft up on the Severn River was selected for the annual Chesapeake Bay Magazine as one of the best shots of the Chesapeake Bay.
